Re-create a space instantly, with some key decor

We were tasked with recreating this space into an outdoor lounge to accommodate a children's hula hoop workshop. We were asked to do our best to protect from the weather and try to keep the heat in, while still following fire safety protocols to allow for egress in an emergency. We're pretty proud of what we created.

We started with an outdoor couch and 2 heaters from the venue. Free standing curtain walls can completely change how a space feels instantly, cover up any undesirable edges, and keep a bit of the heat in. Since it was the beginning of spring, with very little natural greenery, it was important to us to include the Tommy Bahama curtains in the centre, for some life and whimsy. We added interlocking foam floor tiles, to make a more comfortable, warm space for the kiddos to play. Then we added some benches, for extra seating and end tables for drinks. We finished it all off with some lighting, plants, and cushions to soften the edges.

If you create the space, the kids will bring the fun. We were so delighted to see how many children turned up for the hula hoop workshop in our lounge!

Lights and Plants...

Plants can soften harsh lines and add texture to a space. They can help fill an otherwise empty space with colour and life, and create a more relaxing environment. If you have an empty corner of your event space, fill it with a plant! These artificial beach grasses are incredibly realistic looking.

Really I wanted to show you this picture because of the fairy lights, though. See what a difference they make? Super cute! I've loaded my grass rentals with fairy lights so they are ready to go if you want to use them. Turn them on at night to create some ambiance.
